Philippe started cross stitching back in 1996, after watching his wife, Vangie, doing this craft for hours at a time. He asked her if it was difficult to cross-stitch to which she replied “no, its just time consuming.” She would stitch away for many hours and she always looked very contented, so he thought he would give it a try.

Finding a challenge...
After looking through many books and magazines, Vangie suggested that he try doing some “small projects” to see how he would do. He quickly stitched a butterfly, ladybug, a pair of doves, a heart and a little girl, he then stitched a Snow Leopard, and Madonna and Child.
Philippe quickly took on the challenge of stitching The Last Supper (which took nine months to complete). All the time he never lost his patience or his desire in doing cross stitch.
Philippe noticed that the bigger the project, the more contented he was working on them. He noticed that once he started cross-stitching he couldn't put it down. The only time he would put it down was for supper and then again when he was ready for bed. He was hooked. Now, as he is finishing up a cross-stitch he is already planning his next project.
Philippe noted how fascinating it is to watch a project come to life one stitch at a time.
